Short Leg Syndrome (Functional Leg Length Discrepancy)

A Short Leg Syndrome (aka Functional Leg Length Discrepancy) is a Symptom of an Unlevel Pelvis

Pelvic 'unleveling' can be due to:
(1) an ascending postural pattern (pathomechanics originating in the feet) (See Animation below)

(2) a descending postural pattern (pathomechanics originating in the cranium or teeth), or

(3) a combination of both (mixed pattern).

Short Leg Syndrome due to pelvic unleveling should not be treated with heel lifts.
