This dissective plate demonstrates the myofascial connection between the bottom of the foot and the pelvis (Anterior Superior Iliac Spines).
There is a long fascial loop that connects the front and back of the pelvis to the foot. Starts from the anterior superior iliac spine (tensor fasciae latae which feeds into the iliotibial band) and connects into the tibialis anterior. (The tibialis anterior attaches into the first metatarsal-cuneiform joint.)
There is also a long fascial loop that connects the ischial tuberosity (pelvis) via the biceps femoris with the peroneus longus muscle (which inserts into the plantar surface of the 1st metatarsal)
