Treadmill Analysis - Above photos taken from a treadmill analysis of a patient diagnosed as having Rothbart Foot Structure (RFS)
Heel Strike (Right Foot)
At Heel Strike, the pronation pattern is normal (e.g., identical to the pronation pattern observed in Hip Drive).
Foot Flat
A slight inward bulging is observed around the navicular head.
Mid Stance
The foot continues to pronate (e.g., abnormally pronate) when it should be supinating (e.g., the foot has escaped Hip Drive and is now being driven by Gravity Drive).
Pre Heel Off
The foot has reached its point of maximum abnormal pronation.
Heel Off
Foot enters into the Windlass Stage where the pronated foot now begins to supinate. Note - the foot should begin to supinate at Mid Stance.
